SPEECHES

This week room 11 have started to plan their speeches we have begun by looking at the three main types of speeches and two important points to consider when creating your speech.

HOW WILL YOU PRESENT YOUR SPEECH?

What are the needs of your audience? Some people understand well through listening (auditory), some people understand well through looking (visual), and other people best understand when they can feel, touch, or do what is explained to them (kinesthetic).

WHO ARE YOU GOING TO SPEAK TO?

Write down as much as you know about your audience. This will give you ideas of what they will want to hear and be interested in.

For example: number of people, age group, gender and specific interests.
