Dorothys house
“There goes our house!” Reported my Uncle, over the noise of the howling wind. All five of us peeked out through the tiny crack in the trapdoor that was protecting us from the tornado outside. Our house flew up and broke into millions of pieces, then showered down onto the barn. My sister screamed! There lying right next to the piranha pond was her most favourite doll, Jessica. “No, no, no, no!” Everyone tried to pull her back, but she was too determined. She wriggled out of our hands and ran over to Jessica then fell into the piranha pond!

  1. Hi Emily,

This is a very powerfully written story. You have built up the tension really well before what was a horrible ending! Poor Jessica!

    Great writing,
