THE BRAIN

Since 'Brain Awareness Week' room 11 have been investigating the various roles that our brain (cerebral cortex) lobes perform. Our cerebral cortex can be divided into four sections, which are known
as lobes. The frontal lobe, parietal lobe, occipital
lobe and temporal lobe are associated with different functions
ranging from reasoning to auditory perception.
To gain a greater understanding of each lobe's function we created brain
caps these caps helped us to understand the approximate size of each
lobe and assisted with our review of each lobe's primary purpose.
We also discussed and examined what would happen to the way our brain functions if a particular lobe was damaged or harmed in any way.
We completed our investigation by completing a small on-line quiz about the brain, click on the link below to give it a go.
