First Connect Three

Today in maths in room 11 Mr McMillan taught us how to play 'First Connect Three' a game from the nrich website. 

What you need:

-First Connect Three board 

-18 counters, half of the counters need to be a different colour from the other half 

-Two equal teams 

-Two dice 

How to play:

1.Play paper, scissors, rock to see who starts.

2.The person who won paper, scissors, rock starts the game.

3.Roll the dice, with the 2 numbers at the dice lands on, add or subtract them eg. just say the dice landed on 4 and 2---- 4+2=6 or 4-2=2 or 2-4=-2.

4.Then place a counter on the answer you choose eg.6.

5.Then its the next persons turn.

6.Do this over and over again until someone gets 3 in a row it can be up, across and diagonal.

7.To win this game you have to be the first person to get 3 counters in a row.
