The Storm
The house shook viciously. My legs trembled like bulls ready to charge. There was a shattered mirror lying next to me. I picked a piece of the mirror up my face was all wet and blotchy from crying. I stroked the sharp edge of the mirror. The violent storm was like a murderer, it had killed the only thing I had left, my mum. The storm had calmed down by now, but I had just remembered my dog Billy, ‘’Billy Billy”, I called. I raced outside and Billy was standing there panting. ’’Here Billy’’, I started running, we weren’t safe anymore.

  1. Hello Samantha,
What a sad piece of writing! I was shocked by the devastation caused by the storm. Your simile of the storm was excellent, saying it was like a murderer.
As a person who always likes a happy ending, I felt rather relieved to find out that the dog was alive at least!
Thank you for sharing your writing.
