Week 1 Term 3

Room 11 have been very busy this week preparing for the many learning experiences that are planned for term 3.

We started the term by painting one of the main walls in our classroom with images that represent 'Lost Civilisations', which is our main focus for inquiry this term.

During numeracy we learnt about parallel and perpendicular lines and examined various types of triangles and their properties. Using this knowledge we created stained glass window designs based on the work of American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. 

We started by planning our designs and then drew them onto grid paper. We then traced the design onto a piece of transparency using a black vivid. The final step involved colouring in various spaces on the design again using vivids.
