ART

Inspired by some photographs that Mr. McKay took on camp, room 11 created some amazing pieces of art using different techniques.

First of all we chose our favourite photograph and after studying it carefully we used a black crayon to draw all the compositional lines we could identify in the photograph onto a large piece of canvas card.

Afterwards we blended a variety of colours to paint the main images we had drawn many of us chose to paint these images in colours that were completely different from the original photograph.

The last step in our painting process involved using pastels to add all the finer details.

  1. The other day Renée described for me her drawing of the swing-bridge on camp, it is wonderful!
