Orca Surprise
Yesterday room 11 were wandering down to the Eastbourne library but were interrupted by a lady who asked Mr. McMillan "Are you going to see the whales?". So our path changed and we headed to the Rona Bay wharf to see the whales
We were excited to catch a glimpse of the killer whales and there they were popping up every minute or so for a breath although we mostly saw their dorsal fins. It was an amazing experience. A person fishing threw a line with a fish on the end into the water to see if they would come close, they didn't, but they were still pretty close . One of the young killer whales was separated from the pod by a little bit but was swimming along fine. When they had passed we went back to the library. It was an incredible experience to have especially since it is sea week.

What great timing! Renée said the Orca's came in very close to shore and you all got a great view of them.
