OPTICAL ILLUSIONS

Motion Illusion - This pattern, by artist Bridget Riley, gives the impression of fast spiraling motion as observers move their eyes around the image.
Today room 11 created their own optical illusions based on the artwork created by Bridget Riley. We discussed how optical illusions use colour, light and patterns to create images that can be deceptive or misleading to our brains.

Optical illusions occur because our brain is trying to interpret what we see and make sense of the world around us. Optical illusions simply trick our brains into seeing things which may or may not be real.
